DPF cleaning

Diesel Particulate Filter
A device fitted in the exhaust system to catch soot particles emitted from the combustion of diesel.
Reduces harmful environmentally unfriendly emissions from entering the atmosphere.
All diesel vehicles fitted with a DPF are designed and manufactured to "regenerate" which reduces the trapped soot to ash and exhausts it in a less harmful state.
However, in order for that regeneration to occur the vehicle must have no underlying issues and all engine components must be functioning correctly.
When this is not the case regeneration does not occur and eventually the dpf becomes too blocked causing further issues.
The choices we have from that moment are limited but readily available.
Replacement of the DPF would incur large costs as they are not cheap items.
A typical cost for a new DPF might reach £1000.
The story unfortunately does not end there as it is required to ascertain what the problem is that prevented the van regenerating in the first place.
At Kar-Techs we take a different approach to the situation.
With dealer level diagnostics we can locate and rectify issues regarding the cause of the problem.
Once repaired we can professionally clean your DPF whilst it is on the van.
This is done with up to date equipment producing outstanding results. 95% success rate across most makes and models.
By cleaning and the initialising a forced regeneration we can return your vehicle back to it fully operational state.
We are fully self sufficient using on board equipment in our  workshop.
Convenient, cost effective and clean.
